Dinner on the Diamond With Legends @ Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville

Join former Major League All-Stars Vince Coleman, Amos Otis, Willie Wilson, Jim “Mudcat” Grant, future Hall of Famer Chipper Jones, and Hall of Famer Andre Dawson for a magical evening of baseball excitement at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. In addition to the former players, our special guests for the dinner include Sarah Burns and David McMahon who wrote and produced “Jackie Robinson,” the Ken Burns documentary that aired in April on PBS. The dinner will highlight the rich history of the Negro Leagues in Jacksonville, honoring the last surviving member of the Negro Leagues from Jacksonville, Harold “Buster” Hair, with the Bill Lucas Humanitarian Award. The late Bill Lucas was the first African-American Major League General Manager with the Atlanta Braves, was from Jacksonville.

Proceeds from this fundraising dinner and gala will be used to support BBBSNEFL’s youth mentoring programs and mission.
